White paper – Involving suppliers early in ICT tenders within the public domain

In the Supply Value  purchasing trends 2019 research shows that co-creation and innovation with suppliers is the number one trend for the next five years. Purchasing professionals emphasize that in the future it will become increasingly important to collaborate with suppliers. Furthermore, the ICT sector is experiencing many technological developments with a rapidly changing market. This is also reflected in the recently published IT trends research of Supply Value, which shows that the IT trends of 2019 and 2020 are very different from each other. This means that the ICT sector may benefit greatly from involving suppliers at an early stage during the preparation of a tender. Supply Value has therefore conducted research in collaboration with the University of Twente into the early involvement of suppliers in ICT tenders. During this research, a questionnaire was sent to ICT buyers in the public domain.
