Why Supply Value?
I think it's really cool to build the organization, make an impact together with colleagues, help customers and at the same time make the world a little better.

As of October 1, I started at Supply Value as Director of Government, a completely new role that focuses on one of the core markets of Supply Value. In this role I will deal with the strategic side of all activities of Supply Value in the public sector, so in the field of purchasing, supply chain and digital. With more than 30 years of experience, in both the public and private sector, I am well able to determine in consultation with clients what is needed at a strategic and tactical level to achieve the requested goals. Of course, the political and social context also play an important role. That is also the challenge in this new position. How can Supply Value contribute to solving socially relevant issues with its knowledge and expertise? And thus make an impact. In recent years I have worked in management roles at UWV and RoyalFloraHolland, where I have realized various major change processes in complex environments. In the beginning of my career I fulfilled various roles in business development and procurement.

The reason for choosing Supply Value cannot be summed up in one sentence. I find it fascinating to deal with issues that the government is grappling with. To jointly analyze the problem with the customer, to find out the question behind the question, to find a solution AND then to implement it. That would of course be possible from an internal role at a government agency, but I consciously chose to take a different path after 12 years. More from the outside-in perspective. And that fits well with Supply Value. Supply Value can actually help and support organizations with their issues from that external perspective and with applications of our expertise and the knowledge of our people.

“Supply Value can actually help and support organizations with their issues from that external perspective and with applications of our expertise and the knowledge of our people.”

In addition, it is very nice to be able to do this together with smart young and experienced people. People with a passion for their profession and a passion for the customer. People who are not afraid to get the best out of themselves and who also want to share that with others. People who are creative, driven and looking to make an impact. And that in a fast-growing and ambitious organization whose ultimate goal is to make the world a little better, not only in words but also in deeds. Not only confess but also show. In supporting charities, committing to volunteering and making time and space to do fun (meaningful) things. And if you can also contribute to the development of young professionals, then the picture is complete as far as I'm concerned.
