Why Supply Value?
Concrete ideas and professional responsibility

In November 2018 I started as a consultant at Supply Value, after writing my master thesis at Supply Value. From my specialization in Business Analysis and Modeling I create insight and structure in complex problems that have multiple causes and do not seem to have the best solution. For this I use systems thinking and tools from System Dynamics. By building a model together with various stakeholders with often different visions about the problem, nice discussions arise which I as a facilitator lead in the right direction to reach agreement on this.

"The topics I could write a thesis about at Supply Value really appealed to me."

I studied Business Administration at Radboud University, specializing in Business Analysis and Modeling. Before this I followed a bachelor HRM at HAN. In this master I learned to analyze organizations based on the idea that they operate in a system. In addition to my studies, I fulfilled the role of treasurer during a board year and I worked in various committees. I also studied in Dublin for six months and worked as a recruiter in the technical industry for two years next to my studies.

At a Career event of Radboud University, I noticed the organization Supply Value. Afterwards I decided to follow them on LinkedIn to stay informed about their activities. Supply Value turned out to have very concrete ideas about what a graduation internship could look like and the topics that I could write a thesis about at Supply Value really appealed to me. That immediately made me decide to apply. The cooperation was experienced as pleasant from both sides, so much that I started as a consultant after I finished my thesis.

In addition to work, I like to play sports. I have been playing tennis since I was a child, and indoor football has been added to that six years ago. Snowboarding also belongs in this list. When I am not exercising myself, I like to photograph sports. Furthermore, my camera also comes along when I travel, which is perhaps my greatest hobby.

Earlier projects

As a Program Management Support (PMS) I support the MT of the Signaling and Control (S&C) program. This is a collaboration with a public transport company with the aim of rolling out the S&C security and operating system on the metro network. I am involved in process improvements internally and in the field of cooperation with the supplier of the system. I am also secretary of the MT and I facilitate all kinds of workshops to improve cooperation.

My first assignment for Supply Value was an assignment in the field of Strategic scenarios. At an organization active in the telecom market, I mapped the performance of its own technicians in comparison with competitors. By quantitatively demonstrating that mechanics of this organization score well on agreed KPIs and by providing qualitative clarification, it has been made clear that this organization delivers added value in this market. The qualitative deepening also makes it clear how they do this. This has led to a number of scenarios on the basis of which FWF can determine its 2019 policy.
